Google News is testing a new vertical format which seems to be reminiscent of Yahoo One Search and more of a mobile device driven format than the usual Newspaper style spread Google News usually delivers on the PC. I search Google daily (min. once per hour, I guess). However I don’t just type in words and go through the results. An an SEO, I often use advanced search (especially the date range option to see most recent domain / brand name mentions, for example) and advanced search operators (especially, site:).

Here They Go Again, Yahoo Investors Ask Microsoft for $22 a Share

Just when you thought this buyout deal between Yahoo and Microsoft was over, here comes some small group of Yahoo investors making some noise again.  According to Reuters, Mithras Capital which own more than 1.9 million shares, or equivalent to 0.14% of Yahoo, is submitting a proposal to Microsoft that would allow them to buy Yahoo’s Search business for a price that is $2 billion less than it originally offered sometime in July. Yahoo Rolls out Web Analytics for the Enterprise

Sometime in May, Yahoo has acquired a web service company called IndexTools. Now, several months after Yahoo is making use of their acquisition with a new service Web Analytics for Business websites. This service helps to create a feedback mechanism for e-merchants, website owners, advertisers and developers.
